How you know it is going to be a whizbang* of a Saturday

1. Your husband has an all morning meeting.
2. The forecast calls for all-day rain.
3. Your to-do list is longer than your arm, and none of them are particularly fun.
4. Your son wakes up earlier than usual.
5. You are all out of chocolate.


I'd really like a lazy Saturday to come my way. You know, one where you wake up, roll over, sleep a little more, then maybe say, "What should we do today?". Then you sleep a little more... You get the picture.

But, despite all the complaining, we did accomplish a heck of a lot yesterday. The to-do list is not quite as lengthy as it was before.

Paint = touched up.
Basement walls = stripped and washed.
Entire house = sparkling.

Which is better at the end of the day? Well rested and mellow? Or aching muscles and the glow of accomplishment?
